The Effect
Well this is a book that contains instructions for almost 40 different ‘off cuff’ ‘little prep’ tricks to ‘shock’ your mates/spectators.
Difficulty
all tricks are VERY easy to do, minimum sleights, or self working, as the stuff you’ll do is unexpected to say the least
Review
Well, it sat unread since Christmas, but then i glimpsed that the foreword was by Derren Brown, so i opened it up! Firstly, i was impressed by the layout of the book, unlike most instructional manuals, where its more like an essay to read, this is like reading a popular joke book, all tricks are explained in depth, with colour pictures to go with each instruction. A lot of the tricks were already known to me, but there’s a quite a few in there that i cant wait to try out, next time I’m in the pub! Includes tricks from ‘eating a goldfish’ to ‘stopping your own pulse’ (which iv already adapted to ‘alternate pulses on alternate sides’)
Overall
A great read, the author has a VERY entertaining method to his explanations, i think this book is well worth the RRP of a tenner, but i wouldn’t be surprised if you could pick it up cheaper from somewhere(just look around!)
