Kenton Knepper & Friends – Great Minds Think Alike

THE BLURB:
“More usable material packed into this small 42 page book
than most works three times its size…”
This is a collection of highly practical performance
material from Kenton, his friends and Students that you
won’t want to miss.
Here are some of the effects in this amazing compilation.
One Card Killer by Pablo Amir?
A single card in a single envelope (really) is given to a
participant to hold. Another participant takes a playing
card suit from an invisible deck of cards and stops on a
card as the performer deals them (even though the cards are
invisible). The card stopped upon is the one predicted in
the envelope! Just when you thought you knew everything
about Kenton’s Kolossal Killer this amazing new routine and
method will blow you and audience members away. It will fool
even those who have the original. This alone will be worth
the price of the whole ebook for many.
Die-Fecta by Danny Proctor
A participant is asked to draw any number of spots on the
drawing of a die. This is a completely free choice. The
participant and audience are stunned to find that a die in
full view from the start is made with this same number of
spots ON EVERY SIDE OF THE DIE. No die switch. Another
option is the performer does a design duplication in which
the performer draws THREE SIDES of a die and gets most if
not all the numbers on all three sides correct as a design
duplication.
To add to all of this, a realistic explanation of subliminal
or subconscious influence is exposed, and it just might be
legitimate! This method allows for great freedom of choice
by the participant and the performer as to how it is
performed. Available are a combination of methods and
options, all very direct and easy to perform. This is not
theory but a working piece of realistic, fast paced and
stunning mentalism from a modern act.
Impromptu Intuitive
Scott Brown came across a concept that others have
discovered and applied it in ways that got demands from the
Vegas crowd for him to sell this secret to them. Instead of
a single download effect you get what Scott has been doing
in this ebook.
A borrowed and shuffled deck is used. The performer removes
a smaller portion of the deck and has a participant shuffle
these cards. The participant deals the cards into two piles
after shuffling. While the participant seems to find it
difficult to guess which cards in their own pile will be red
or black, the performer can guess 100 PERCENT CORRECTLY the
cards in his or her own pile. Oh, and the participant
chooses which pile the performer gets too.
Three Card Pile Up
This is Kenton’s wild expansion of the previous effect and
principle. A participant shuffles a small portion of cards,
say twenty or so. The participant deals the cards into three
piles, and the performer never touches the cards. The third
pile the participant puts in their pocket as a “control
pile.” The performer writes down on paper what the performer
feels is the order of the color of cards dealt in the first
pile by the participant. The performer does little better
than chance, but tries again. Remember, this can be a
borrowed deck and the participant shuffles and deals the
cards. The second time the performer writes down his
impressions about all the cards in the second pile at once.
Oddly the performer gets many of these intuitions correct,
and misses only two or three cards. This is beginning to
look like real intuition and that practice pays off.
Now comes the unbelievable ending. It turns out that the
performer didn’t miss any of the cards the second time after
all. The performer has named the color of cards and their
exact position hidden away in the control pile in the
participant’s own pocket. This is as twisted as it gets. A
very realistic version of the red/black intuitive card plot
with real cards that is different.
Intuition Key
Another wonder by Pablo Amir? allows a person to perform the
classic Seven Keys to Baldpate without key switches, with
the participant examining everything, and with the
participant handling EVERYTHING. Not only that, but all the
keys are tried by the participant themselves, and the single
working key is also tested by the participant alone. Only
after this, with the performer not touching anything after
giving the person the proper key, the participant mixes and
then chooses the correct key…thanks to an altered state.
NO, the participant is NOT in on the working and is as
amazed as the rest of the audience. Yes, the participant has
an entirely free choice. No, the lock is not a trick one.
Best of all, the working is simple.
The Emperor
This is Kenton’s version of Brother Shadow’s “The Empress” A
large set of images are shown freely and members of the
audience shuffle segments of the images to be sure the
images are entirely random. Three audience members take
portions of the shuffled images and imagines stories using
the images they have.
The performer begins almost instantly to tell the stories
and reveals the images each participants hold. There is NO
PUMPING or guesswork. The performer is correct about it
all…until the end.
The performer misses one of the images in the last person’s
selection of imagery. Not to worry…It turns out this image
was predicted and sealed in the envelope held by the
audience member with the missing image from the start –
before a single image was ever revealed.
This is so much easier than what anyone has imagined. Leave
it to Kenton to make this type of a routine so easy and
direct.
Change of Taste by Danny Proctor
Three participants choose three different candies and eat
them while the performer turns away and hides or blindfolds
the eyes. The performer is able to discern WHAT EACH PERSON
IS TASTING and confirms his intuitions with the audience
before the participants admit the performer is correct.
Not only that, but the performer changes the taste in the
last person’s mouth by changing what he writes on a sign or
board! This is real Kentonism in action that is guaranteed
to work…direct from the act of a young modern performer.
Remote – ACAAN by Rob Chapman
A deck is rubber-banded and sealed inside a card case. A
participant is the “referee” and holds onto this box.
Another participant is put into a trance and names a card
and then a number. The referee opens the box, undoes the
bands securing the deck and counts down to the number the
other person has named. Sure enough, the card named by the
other participant turns out to be at the number called out
in the deck held by the other participant! Apparently
intuition may be increased when an altered stated is
induced.
Get The Lead Out by Scott Brown
Working and living in Las Vegas Scott Brown performs for
working performers and has to fool the toughest audiences.
In this effect Scott performs a form of Banknight entirely
impromptu using blank pieces of paper, drawing a fake one
hundred dollar bill,
