Dr.Jacob Daley – Dr.Daley’s Notebooks
Jacob Daley’s Notebooks were transcribed by Frank Csuri in 1974 with an introduction by Dai Vernon.
It was transcribed from original four small pocket size handwritten books that, with revisions by Dai Vernon, of Dr. Daley’s describing tricks of Dai Vernon, Horowitz, Arthur Findley, Leipzig, Paul Rosini, Al Baker, John Scarne, Malini, Annemann and others.
Portions of the notebooks circulated though the underground for years and was was published by Karl Fulves’s Gutenberg Press in hard and softback.
You will need a VERY GOOD understanding of card magic to get much out of these notes. The descriptions are extremely abbreviated & cryptic in many cases since these were for Daley’s own reference. He presumably needed only a few details to remind him of the material. Some of the commentary by Dai Vernon is excellent & worth having for that reason alone.
