This is a 1931 Blue Ribbon Books seventh printing of this excellent biography of Harry Houdini. Written by Harold Kellock from the recollections and documents of Beatrice Houdini. Hardbound 384 pages. Book is bound in red cloth having no dustjacket. Pages are all intact and rather tight considering its age. Cloth binding has some major wear at the top of spine and the normal bumps and rubs on other parts of the cover. Overall “good” condition. An important piece of magic history; Houdini’s rise from obscure dime-museum performer to the brightest star of “Big Time” is only part of Kellock’s story. His personality and his private life are fully as fascinating and romantic as his public career. Kellock’s intimate account is based on the recollections and documents of Beatrice Houdini, his wife and only person party to all his secrets .
