AEIOU by Iain Dunford
THE BLURB:
A method for giving a character analysis/reading – that can
be combined with graphology or many other systems, though
designed to stand alone. You can present this as
psychologically driven, psychic or something inbetween. You
can also use this in various mentalism presentations too –
giving people reasons as to WHY they picked certain words.
You will be able to give a quick two minute reading, or a
more thorough one – depending on your circumstances.
Released with the permission of Richard Webster. 40 pages in
total.
MY COMMENTS:
Dunford sent this to me a few months ago just as I was
getting ready to push my own reading system, the SECRET SELF
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE SYSTEM, which is also based on Richard
Webster’s Psychometry A to Z. At the time, I thought that I
may not be able to give a truly objective viewpoint of this
because I wouldn’t be able to help comparing the two
systems. Without question, they are different. And they
could be combined. But now, a few months later, I feel that
I can step back a bit and objectively comment on it.
This is a terrific personality reading system that is
incredibly easy-to-use. There is a little bit of
memorization involved. One needs to learn the meaning of
the five vowels, the few vowel combinations, and their
placement within the names, but that’s just about a dozen or
so meanings to remember. Until one does memorize them, a
crib or tick sheet could certainly be used, though Dunford
does not include one.
Also, Dunford provides a structure for a complete reading
using this system and it’s a very easy, natural structure to
remember. This will help the experienced reader to start
doing these readings quickly as well as a beginner who’s
never done any readings before. And, unlike my system, this
can be used without carrying anything else and it can be
done on the stage within one’s routines.
This slim, small softbound book (4″ x 7″ appr.) is 40 pages
long, but there’s a tremendous amount of white space. This
is not a negative comment, but one that leads to my saying
that it shouldn’t take you long to read, perhaps twenty
minutes at most. This system is simple enough that there is
not a lot to it, yet the readings can be full and fun.
Obviously, I wouldn’t sound truthful if I didn’t say that I
like my system better as I created it to tailor my specific
needs. However, if I hadn’t have done that, I probably
would have embraced this system and not even thought of
another, except perhaps in combination with Scott
Grossberg’s THE VITRUVIAN SQUARE. Even if you have my
reading system, or another’s, this one is well worth
getting.
