In the chapter “Mental” author Franz Braun talks about two very impressive mentalism performances he has witnessed after World War II.
If you like Dunninger idea to secretly ask for a spectator’s name, you will also appreciate what German post-bellum mentalist Nena Kara makes out of this knowledge in the context of a muscle reading demonstration.
A fascinating book, combining biographic narration and magic. It’s perfectly suitable for every mentalist. Not only because the tricks are sleightless ( ‘ohne Griff’ ), but also because it features the most cunning method for the Magic Square that I know of. Although it is written in German, it is definitely worth tracking down and translating.
Highly recommended!
