The performer asks a spectator to take off his tie and to put it to his disposal for an experiment. The performer takes some playing cards and hands them with a pair os scissors to the spectator. He asks him to cut the cards several times to proof its sharpness.
Then he takes the tie and folds it into a card which is held by the spectator. A quick cut with the pair of scissors through the cards and obvi- ously through the tie makes the spectator apprehend the worst. But the tie is removed undamaged. But the pieces of cards are cut in half.
