“It is a precious few works by others that I read, view or hear that catch my attention, let alone my imagination. When someone says they have been inspired by my work to create deep real-life performance pieces, I am not easily impressed. They often miss the deeper psychology and my real intentions. Oliver Dobbs gets it. That is why it is with great joy that I announce my participation and admiration for this current work, as one of the rare exceptions.” – Kenton Knepper
You will learn how to do impressive, believable Mind Reading.
If you want to make it look like you can get inside the imagination of others, look into their past, sense their emotions, search within the minds and hearts of participants or friends, these methods can get you there. If you do not perform the actual routines, the principles you will learn will serve you in any sort of mentalism that you do. While this work is focused on several very strong effects, it should also serve as a set of principles or tools that you can use in other Mind Reading and mentalism.
Imaginative Mind Reading will be of value to anyone interested in mentalism, psychology, secret influence and the use of Wonder Words type scripting.
Of course, there are powerful effects based upon the secret psychology, devices and philosophy in this work:
* PIN Revelation:Â Without pre-show or pumping, a participant is told to envision a PIN number on a blank pad of paper or dry erase board. The performer soon writes down a four-digit number and asks for the participant to name the PIN they have in mind. This is exactly what the performer has written.
* Mind Reading A Memory: A participant is asked to relax and focus on a pad of paper, deck of cards, or any common object, as a focal point. The person is told to imagine a scene…something from their actual memory. With nothing ever written by the participant, the performer begins to talk about the memory. This may include the furniture in the scene, details about a pet if present, people in the scene, what is on television, if there is a TV in the scene, the general feel of the place involved in the memory, whether it seems safe or dangerous, and even the weather in the imagined scene or memory.
* Ideal Eidetic: A participant shuffles a deck for real. They deal the deck face up, one card at a time, so the performer may memorize it. From here, a number is named and the performer says what card falls at that number. But that’s just for starters. Another participant is asked to imagine what card falls at different number. Incredibly, the participant turns out to be correct too. It is an Any Card At Any Number effect (ACAAN), with a mentalism and memory presentation.
For the first time ever the original Eidetic effect by Oliver Dobbs is taught in its perfected state, along with much easier and surefire ways of performing it by Kenton.
Secret goodies are at work here that come with this set as well…These are VERY cool.
The effects for the most part will take some real mental work. While nearly anyone can manage the PIN effect, the others will take more practice. Kenton has simplified Oliver’s “Eidetic”in this work, so now nearly anyone can find a version of this that they can do too.
BONUS: You also get as a bonus the Original Eidetic eBook by Oliver Dobbs. This originally sold for over $30 on its own. Compare the original with the new versions in Imaginative Mind Reading and see for yourself the joys of it ALL.
