Watch the replay of Enrique Enriquez’s two hour lecture where he discusses his notes Beautiful Bullshit. He discusses each essay in detail and shares additional thoughts on his philosophy on divination and reading the tarot.
About the Lecture
Enrique Enriquez is a rumor based in New York City whose work explores the magical value of language, birdsong, dreams, and the Tarot de Marseilles. He is the author of Tarology, En Terex It & Ex Itent Er, and Linguistick. His ideas are the central theme of the feature film Tarology, the Poetics of Tarot.
Join Enrique as he talks about his new notes Beautiful Bullshit. Unlike the poet or the artist, the fortune teller cannot affect the culture, only the moment. The idea is to review each of the essays contained in Beautiful Bullshit from which tarot divination is understood as a poetic subgenre that has the peculiarity of dissolving the membrane that separates life from literature. The tarot thus becomes the pivot towards the poetic enchantment of reality through specific, ephemeral actions that exceed the image of the Fortune Teller sitting at the table.
Can the magic of tarot exceed readings? That is the question that those essays, and the lecture built around them, hope to answer.
