Sixteen different Post-it notes of two different colors are stuck to a wall or window in a 4 x 4 arrangement. Each of the notes has a different choice, action, option or destination written upon it. A card detailing the 3M Six-Step Process guides the participant through a half dozen options to lead him to a final choice. Explain that the 3M company developed this process to improve people’s decision making while encouraging them to use a lot of Post-it notes to make a simple decision.
The card instructs your friend to point to any note and move in various directions of his own choosing. The note he finally ends up choosing is not only the perfect choice but is also the exact one you secretly guided him to choose.
